Bluey needs a new home

My boy Bluey is a 1 and a half year old Staffy and I'm looking for the right person or family to give him the home he deserves.

We are located in North Melbourne.

Bluey is a beautiful dog with so much love to give. He's loyal, affectionate, and wants nothing more than to be around his people. He isn't aggressive and has never had any issues with people or other animals. Our neighbour's cat was actually one of his best friends, and they spent time together almost every day until the family moved interstate. That said, I want to be completely honest about him. Bluey has had very little training and is still very much a giant puppy. He gets excited about absolutely everything. He loves to run, jump, play, and be involved in whatever is happening around him. He's incredibly strong, all muscle, and doesn't always realise how big he is. He has a gentle nature, but his excitement can be a lot to handle, and he can accidentally knock people over while trying to play.

He does know his name, knows how to sit, and won't touch his food until he's told he can. He's a smart boy and I truly believe that with time, patience, and consistency, he'll become someone's absolute best friend. He's been outside so he's not house trained and often will pee inside, sometimes out of excitement.

The reason I'm looking for a new home for him is because life has changed unexpectedly. My mum recently became very ill and has moved in with us after leaving hospital. She now uses a wheelchair and requires full-time care. I also have a very energetic 6-year-old daughter, and unfortunately Bluey's size and strength make it difficult for them to safely play together. Our yard is also much too small for a dog with Bluey's energy levels, and as much as it breaks my heart to say it, I know he deserves more than I'm able to give him right now. I'm not asking for money. I simply want him to find a loving, safe, and stable home with someone who understands that he'll need patience, training, and commitment.

If possible, I'd love to stay in touch and see how he's doing as he grows, because I love him dearly and this decision is not being made lightly.

**I originally posted this on multiple other pages but am expanding the search as I'm running out of time, I have to have a new home for bluey by Monday and if I cant find one then I have no choice but to take him to the nearest 'no kill' shelter. Which I really didn't want to do that ..**
