collectors vs breeders

just want to put it out there about some of there rare birds that are help in some peoples cages for years with no breeding results , i have being in this industry for many years now and seen many birds disappear because certain people think because they can get the rare stuff and breed them , but they struggle , some people do struggle with certain species and there is nothing wrong with that , but in stead of working with other bird breeders or letting some other breeder try and see if they have any luck they don't , they would rather hold on to the birds till they are to old to do anything or the blood line is so related that all they become is a rare bird sitting in ones cage till it dies , or after so many years of waiting , or if they do decide to sell them they will sell them for good money knowing that the birds are past breeding age and lie about there true age , there is such a jealousy in this industry that makes me sick and the poor person who shells out good money to do his best in trying to breed them will waste years trying to breed something he will never succeed . unfortunately these are the difference from collectors to breeders , yes we all would like to breed our birds and hopefully make some money back to cover our outlay and put some money in our pockets , but if you know you are struggling don't be selfish and hold on to them till they become to old and good for nothing , or just to have them in your cage and say look what i got that no one else has just to show off ,
bird breeding can be a challenge , so reach out if you get stuck and don't be selfish , ask , sell , swap for new blood , just don't let them die of old age because of pride .
