The Birds:
I am regrettably offering my bonded pair of Blue and Gold Macaws for sale to an experienced aviculturist. These are aviary birds, not tame household pets, and are being sold strictly as a breeding pair.

Ages: Cock is 8 years old, Hen is 7 years old.

Sexing: DNA sexed (Certificates will be provided to the buyer).

Breeding History: Bonded pair, working the nest box

Health: Both birds are in excellent feather and condition. They have been disease-tested for PBFD and Psittacosis .

Diet: Currently fed a high-quality diet of Vetafarm/Tropican pellets, soaked seed, daily fresh fruit and vegetables, and varied nuts (macadamias, walnuts, almonds).

Conditions of Sale:
Because of the specialized needs of large macaws, I am very particular about where this pair goes.

Experience: You must have experience keeping and breeding large parrots/macaws.

Housing: You must have a suitably large, strong, and chew-proof suspended aviary ready for them.

No Time-Wasters: Please do not contact me asking if they talk or if they can in a cage in your lounge room. These are loud, powerful aviary birds.

Transport & Contact:
Freight can be arranged at the buyer's expense and risk, though local pick-up is preferred. For security reasons, I do not send additional photos or videos to anonymous numbers.
