Pet raven available to a knowledgeable suitable home. Located in SA but can be freighted interstate at buyers expense.

This captive bred Australian raven has been hand-raised from a young age and is accustomed to people. Ravens are exceptionally intelligent, curious birds with a huge amount of personality, but they are also a significant commitment and are NOT suitable for a small cage or someone looking for a low-maintenance pet.

It is still young and is at a great age to begin building a bond and developing a relationship with it as it grows and matures. It will be ready to go to its new home in a few weeks, so I am currently taking expressions of interest from suitable homes.

Australian ravens belong to the Corvid family (crow family). They are a very intelligent bird and need plenty of space, enrichment and opportunities to explore and use their brains. A large secure outdoor aviary is essential, with room to fly and plenty of branches, perches, natural materials and enrichment. They can become bored without enough stimulation, so the right setup and ongoing interaction are very important.

I would particularly love to see this bird go to someone with previous experience keeping ravens, corvids or other highly intelligent birds, or someone who has thoroughly researched their requirements and can provide an excellent long-term home.
