American staffy 2 years old

This is something I never imagined having to write, but we are looking to find a very special home for our beloved 2-year-old American Staffy boy.

He is sterilised, healthy, and truly a beautiful, affectionate dog who absolutely loves his people. He is gentle in nature, enjoys cuddles, and has been a much-loved part of our family. Unfortunately, he is also a very anxious boy who becomes easily scared, and despite our efforts, he has had ongoing issues with our older male dog.

There have now been three fights between them, the most recent resulting in serious injury to our other dog and an injury to my partner while separating them. We have tried managing this by keeping them apart, but with three young children and a smaller home, it is no longer safe or realistic to maintain that separation. We cannot risk another incident.

This decision has absolutely broken our hearts because he is our baby, and we love him dearly. Our only priority now is finding him the right environment where he can feel safe and thrive.

We are looking for:• A calm, experienced home (preferably with knowledge of anxious dogs)• No other dogs or only a very carefully matched situation• A secure yard and a predictable, low-stress environment• Someone patient, kind, and willing to give him the reassurance he needs• A family committed to giving him the stability we unfortunately cannot provide

We will be extremely selective — this is not a first-come situation. We want to ensure he goes to a home where he will be understood, loved, and set up to succeed.
