Beautiful Border Collie Boy

Our beautiful boy, Bernie, is in need of a new loving home. After becoming parents last year, we have found ourselves unable to give him what he needs.
Bernie is a loving, friendly, and very energetic dog who requires mental and physical stimulation twice - three times daily. He would be well suited to most environments or family dynamics (LOVES children) but does well with one person as his leader, as he is working breed and loves being 'on the job'.
Favourite past times include playing ball, stalking ball (any ball related focus work, honestly!) free ranging at the Briars dog park and learning new commands and tricks.
He is an extremely fast learner and responds enthusiastically to getting things 'right'.
Bernie is a sensitive soul who wants to please but, like most Border Collies, can be anxious and unsure when his needs aren't met. This is our primary reason for wanting to re-home him, as we feel his current circumstances are unfair on him and want his life to be enriched in ways we are simply unable to provide.

We have listed a potential sale date a couple of months in the future to give us and potential new owners time to meet and get to know Bernie before making a final decision but we are in no rush - it has been an extremely difficult decision to make and we are determined to find the right fit for him. We will not part with him until we are completely sure we have found his forever home and he will be safe and loved for the rest of his life.

Our ideal match for Bernie would be someone with working dog experience, in a home with no other dogs (great with other dogs, just prefers his space) and an owner or owners who are able to spend adequate time with him. He is not suited to being home alone for long stretches during the day. As such, potential owners with full-time jobs outside of the home will, respectfully, not be considered.

Bernie is fully vaccinated, neutered and has been routinely wormed and been given tick and flea treatments.
Breeder details, microchip number and proof of pedigree paperwork all to be provided to serious potential owners upon meeting Bernie.
