Kelpie x
Kelpie x
I have had to come to the tough decision to rehome my 6 year old kelpie cross Louie. My life circumstances have changed and I haven’t been able to give Lou the time and attention that he needs. I am devastated that it has had to come to this but I am wanting to find him a loving home where he has space and an owner who can give him the time he deserves. I have had Louie since he was a puppy where I found him on a remote aboriginal community in the Northern Territory. I believe he was around 8 - 10 weeks old when I found him, I am unsure of what he is crossed with but he definitely has kelpie in him.
Louie has been desexed, wormed and vaccinated ( I think he is due for an update but I can organise this prior to him going to a new home)
He has been a healthy dog with no medical issues since I’ve had him.
Louie is a very energetic boy who loves toys, going for a run / swim at the beach and loves playing fetch.
Louie knows the basic, sit, shake, drop and his recall is okay. He is semi crate trained and happy to sleep in a crate but due to his energy doesn’t last too long inside.
Louie can be quite anxious at times and struggles with socialising with dogs he doesn’t know. He was raised with my English staffy who he got a long with well. But since becoming more anxious towards other dogs he would be best as a single home dog.
Louie would be best suited to someone who had space and time for him. He hasn’t been around younger children but would be okay with older kids/ teenagers.
Happy to do a few meet and greets to ensure Lou will find the right home for him. Any questions just reach out.
