Meet Handsome Hank — a 5-year-old Heeler/Kelpie mix (born 19/06/2020) looking for an experienced and committed forever home.

Hank is an intelligent, working-type dog who thrives with structure, routine, and purpose. He is highly trainable, very food motivated, and deeply loyal to his people. His favourite activity is chasing a ball — especially a soccer ball — and after a morning walk or play session, he is content to relax and sleep for most of the day.

Hank has no history of separation anxiety or nuisance barking.

At home, Hank is well-mannered and settles beautifully. He is comfortable as both an indoor and outdoor dog and forms strong bonds with his owners. He enjoys belly rubs and ear scratches, though he can become uncomfortable with prolonged pats. Hank makes an excellent guard dog but requires guidance from his owners when meeting new people on the property.

Due to his breed traits, Hank can become over-excited and reactive, particularly around other dogs. He may snap when overstimulated or uncomfortable and can display dominant tendencies if not handled correctly. For this reason, Hank is not suitable for homes with children, other dogs, cats, or busy environments. He will do best with a confident, experienced owner who understands working breeds and can provide consistent leadership, clear boundaries, and ongoing training.

Hank is ideally suited to a larger property or farm-style environment with a calm, predictable household where he can thrive.
