Rhodesian Ridgeback x American Staffordshire to a good home.

Background:
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances with my health and finances this year, it is with a heavy heart that I rehome my best friend for the past 10 years.

This is by far the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but it's honestly what's best for Wade.

More about Wade:
He is a Rhodesian Ridgeback cross American Staffordshire.
He is 38-41kg depending on how much he eats. Approx 155-160cm on his hind legs.
He has a massive personality. He is friendly, playful, excited, loving and basically a happy 3 year old in a dog's body.
If you buy him a new toy, he will run to show it off to any guests that come over.

Children:
I've raised him with my nephews and nieces since they were toddlers, so he's great with kids; especially considering he still thinks he is a kid. You'd find it hard to believe he's almost 10 years old. He runs and plays gentle, and even lays down and lets kids pat him.


Energy level:
With the youthful energy of a puppy, and endless running in his system, he would be best suited for an active family with lots of space to run.


Behaviour:
He is a bit nervous around boisterous/rough dogs, as he was bullied a bit at dog parks in the past. But if there's a friendly, happy dog that doesn't play rough and isn't domineering, he will get along with them perfectly fine.

Wade has never ever bitten a person or child.
He is cheeky, playful, friendly and loves a cuddle.

Training:
I trained him for a full year when I first got him as a pup.
He will: sit, lay down, go to his designated spot (anywhere you deem fit within the house or outside that he has to lay down in), go to bed, go poop/toilet on command, close the door on command, fetch, chase, jump etc.

About you:
I must clarify, Wade is not for sale. We want to re-home him to a family that he deserves.

We are looking for a loving family, preferably with a large property/backyard where he can run and play. A family with kids that he can love and play with as well. And most importantly, a family that will give him the love and attention he needs.
If this sounds like you and you feel you might be a right fit for Wade, my only condition is that we meet beforehand and get to know each other as I do not want to give him to anyone willy nilly.
