Toby is looking for her forever home, starting in January 2026. Toby hopes to find a home with someone looking for a sweet little companion. Toby is suitable for a home with either no pets, or with another small dog or kids. Toby finds cats distressing.

Toby has been part of a loving family for the past 13 years, however, her current owner has to move overseas and is heartbroken. Toby’s owner is an involved pet parent and wants to stay in contact with Toby and her new family, and help to move her with as much ease as possible.

✅ Toby’s current owner will cover the cost of Toby’s vet expenses and medication. Toby requires quarterly arthritis injections at the vet and 4x types of daily medication.

✅ Toby’s current owner is able to provide a dog bed, cage, lead, harness, bowl etc…

Personality: Toby is a sweet, gentle, and loving girl who loves to be around her people. She is incredibly well behaved, but has developed minimal defiance with age. Toby still enjoys having fun outside, but also enjoys a quiet day napping with company.

Health: Toby is mostly deaf and has cataracts, meaning she has partial vision. She has arthritis in her back legs and a bad back. Toby tore her back left leg’s cruciate ligament in August this year, however has made a fantastic recovery and is able to walk unassisted. Toby requires a soft food diet as she has had some teeth removed.

Mobility and Support: Toby is unable to walk up stairs, and will wait to be picked up. However, Toby likes to jump, climb, explore, and dig in the garden - and must be supervised so that she does not do this, as it will exacerbate her injury.

With this said, Toby is very happy to be contained in a flat space. Toby is happy being alone during the work day and uses a puppy pad.

Toby is an amazing pet with so much love to give. She’ll make a wonderful addition to a family 🩵
