Urgent Rehome – Working Breed (Kelpie/Heeler), Experienced Home Only

Female working-breed dog (Kelpie X Heeler), highly intelligent, alert, and loyal once bonded.

She is fear-reactive with unfamiliar people, particularly around the home. She requires slow introductions and time to build trust, but once she feels safe, she forms an extremely strong bond and is deeply loyal.

She has strong protective instincts and naturally takes on a guarding role. This was more pronounced in a previous rural environment and has carried into a suburban setting (barking at noises/people outside).

She would suit:
• An experienced dog owner, ideally familiar with working breeds
• A calm, structured home (not suitable for first-time owners)
• No young children
• Ideally a property with space to run, or someone committed to daily exercise

She is:

• High-energy and needs consistent daily exercise and mental stimulation

• More settled when living with another dog

• Previously d with cats and chickens successfully

• Good with other animals

She can be anxious when alone and does best with companionship (human or canine).

This is a difficult decision, and I am committed to finding her the right long-term home where she can thrive. She has huge potential in the right hands.
