Size: Large

Temperament: A big softie with a calm, gentle nature. He’s great with kids and completely fine around other dogs — big or small — though he’s more of an observer than a playmate. He likes to stay close to his people and will quietly follow you around the house, then settle contentedly by your side once you sit down.

He will be quite anxious around new men at first, but once he gets to know you, he warms up and is his affectionate and relaxed self.

Energy level & walks: A very relaxed boy who spends lots of his day napping but absolutely lights up for walk time! He walks nicely (not perfectly but in no way problematically) on lead and loves off-lead time in safe areas (open parks, beaches, creek areas, dog parks etc). He has decent recall once familiar with you doesn’t like to be too far away from you.

🏡 Ideal home:
He would do best in a home with plenty of human company — he can be left alone for medium-length periods/work hours, but he prefers being with his people. A yard is important so he has space to move around and explore. He’d suit active owners who will take him on daily walks.

No ridge (cross breed) so not prone to regular ridgeback health issues.

Can be anxious in the car and at times will vomit.
